Community Development

Since its inception in 1947, the Richmond Club has been an integral part of the Hawkesbury community and whilst many see some of the great things that the club does for the community, the vast majority only see the tip of the iceberg. Over the past 60 years, the Richmond Club has been helping to develop the Hawkesbury area into the area that we are so proud of today.

Richmond Club has been making significant donations to the local community for many years, in fact we are by far the largest sponsor of local sporting groups and the largest supporter of local community groups. No other club or organisation comes close to supporting the Hawkesbury as much as your club, the Richmond Club.

The support started many years ago, in fact we have been supporting our local community since the Richmond Club was created in 1947. It was Richmond Club that donated the land for Bensons Lane Sporting Complex, a venue that now sees more than 2000 people each week enjoy the benefits of a first class sporting complex. We currently support more than 100 local groups and have a positive impact on the homeless, the disabled, the disadvantaged, the young and the elderly.

It is simple things like Christmas gifts to the Salvation Army and Rotary, Bedside Tables to Newhaven Farm for the disabled, kitchens to the Baptist church homeless shelter or $10,000 worth of Linen to the Nursing Home that people never hear about and what the Richmond Club is truly about.

There are a large number of ways that the club is involved in the local area...
